Saving Your Kiss

Save the Kiss

Abi and Nick chose to save their kiss until their wedding day. This moment was sweet, yet surprising to many.
Why and HOW do you save your kiss?
Many, young and old alike, have asked about this special kiss. Because this is a topic of great interest today, I have asked Nick and Abi to share the reason they saved their kiss.

Stay tuned for testimonies from other young couples as to why they made this same commitment:

The reason we saved our kiss:

Each of us had made the decision early on in our lives to save our first kiss until our wedding day. We were passionate and genuine about our commitment, but each of us, unfortunately, fell into relationships that were destructive and eventually gave into temptation causing us to lose kiss each of us had treasured.

When Nick and I met, we knew early on that the Lord was planning something special for us together. We each regretted losing our kiss to someone else beforehand and made the commitment to each other and to the Lord to save our kiss until our wedding day. Our decision was unanimous and heart-felt. We never regretted this commitment for a minute in our two years of dating. We were able to get to know each other completely without the distraction or pressure that physical intimacy puts on a dating relationship.

On July 3, 2009 we were able to give each other “true love’s first kiss” along with our purity, our hearts, and our lives. Since being married, we are so happy we chose to save our kiss. We were able to come to our marriage alter with no regrets and an overwhelming love for the one we had waited for.
