March 15-16, 1990
Your due date has passed.
We really thought you would be early, but you have surprised us all! Last Wednesday night we thought you were getting ready to come. At 4:45 p.m. I started having mild contractions. They continued to be regular about three minutes apart. We left church and came home and went for a 2 ½ mile walk thinking this would stop any false labor if that’s what it was. The contractions continued so we called the doctor who said to go to the hospital since my due date was the next day.We arrived around 10:30 p.m. and they put the fetal heart monitor on. Your heart beat registered from 120-150. The contractions kept coming every two minutes, but they were not doing anything to progress labor. The doctor said this was the early stages of labor, but we should go home to rest. You would probably arrive in the morning.
Well – it has been TWO DAYS and we are still waiting anxiously. I’ve been able to get a lot of projects done. This morning, March 16th, I baked chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls just in case we do have company for the weekend. Daddy will be out of town on Saturday, but then home again until Thursday. We sure hope to see you before then!
Ben and Kayla -
Isn't it wonderful that we are not God! HE created and formed precious Levi. He has numbered his days from the beginning to the end. May the Lord bless you as you raise your first born son for God's glory. We are all excited about the days and life ahead!"My frame was not hidden from You,
when I was made in secret,
and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and
in Your book were all written the days
that were ordained for me,
that were ordained for me,
when as yet there was not one of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!" Psalm 139
