Romanian Summary - Introducing the Teams

The American Team began preparing in January.  Weekly we met to pray and practice for the different areas of ministry.  This team included:      

Our leader and her daughter Dena and Cynthia Wooldridge.  God began to knit Dena's heart with the Romanian orphans ten years ago.  Her daughter, Cynthia, started carrying the Romanian gypsies in her heart over the last two years.                                            

Paula Hall and her granddaughter, Abigail Hendrix.  Paula has made the trip to Romania five times.  She has a great love for the orphans there.   Paula handled the administrative duties and prepared the crafts for our team and performed Shackles for the orphans.  Paula takes a different grandchild each time and Abigail felt God call her to join the team this year.  Abigail is a junior at Kell high school. Abigail served on the puppet team while in Romania.

The beautiful Baker girls are not new to foreign missions as they have been on several international trips.  This was the first time to experience Romania.  Renee Baker teaches middle school Math, Nicole Baker is a senior at GA Tech, while Alyssa Baker will be a senior in high school.  The ladies added great value to the worship, dance, and puppet teams.

Debbie Johnson joined her daughter, Kim, for her second trip to Romania.  Kim spent her summer in Romania as an intern working with the orphans.  It was obvious that God had called her there used her in a great way.  Debbie spends her time in the states as a nanny to three boys.  She is the mother of her own three children.  She did a fantastic job of creating and organizing the crafts for this camp.

Catherine Beckett will attend college in the fall.  This was her second time to minister in Romania as well.  God continues to place the orphans on her heart.  Catherine glowed with Jesus as she served on the puppet team.

Aria Perry was recently saved and God is using her in a mighty way.  Because she is also fatherless, she has a desire to share the great things God has done in her life with others who do not have a dad.  Aria led the worship team in a beautiful way.

Peyton Hill will finish his time mentoring under Pastor Johnny Hunt in January.  He feels the call to the pastorate following this internship.  Peyton was used of God to encourage many in Romania through his preaching.  God's anointing is over this young man.

Josh Frazier brought a spirit of humility and gentleness to our group.  Josh has a desire for international missions and is preparing for this through studying languages and communications at Kennesaw State University.  Josh desires to further his education in seminary upon graduating from KSU.

The Apon Family - their first family international mission trip

Lori enjoys teaching the widows of FBC Woodstock.  Daily, God has given her the joy of caring for little ones in her home as a nanny while loving her own five children still in the home.  Lori thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the older orphans teaching them in Bible study that they can be God's princesses.

Christie graduated from high school this spring.  She has plans to spend this next year in South Africa with Build the Nations.  She will work with the orphans in Shayandima School of Tomorrow.  Christie served on the worship team.

Isaac will be a senior in high school.  He bonded well with the littles ones and was used of the Lord in the Arise My Love worship.

Evan will be a junior in high school.  He impacted the orphan teens and enjoyed leading them in game time each night.  Evan also shared his testimony of how God has fathered him.

Amy will be a high school freshman.  Amy is already praying that God will call her back to Romania.  She was used to spread God's love to the elementary orphans.  It was a blessing for her to have the opportunity to testify of God's faithfulness as Father.

Micah will be in 7th grade.  Micah bonded with the missionaries living in Romania.  He was a great friend to the younger orphans. 

                                                    The Romanian team was made up of interns and translators from all over.  These people worked with Pathway to Joy under the leadership of Cornel and Karen Bucur.  Dan and Tabita Iozsa serve Pathway's ministry by heading up the mentorship program.  It was a blessing to work with this ministry serving the Lord by caring for the orphans.
