An Invitation

Perhaps you come to this point with confidence in your salvation and that God chose you.

Perhaps you are like me where meditating on the truth, you were dead and God has made you alive, has wiped away doubts coming from the lies of the enemy concerning your place in God’s family.

Or perhaps you have just now experienced an awakening in your soul and would like to receive Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior.  You were dead and He has made you alive!
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” Ephesians 2:4-5
“The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

We began this journey together
with the following truths of the Gospel:

• No one made God—He has always been and always will be…He is eternal.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8

• All men are separated from God because of sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

• Almighty God desired to restore the relationship he had with man before man sinned; therefore, He had to make a way for man to be reconciled to God.  This required a blood payment for man’s sin. Since no one was without sin, able to make the necessary sacrifice, God became flesh and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus Christ – a blameless, innocent man.  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

• Jesus, God in the flesh, went to the cross to pay the price for sin and make a way for man to have a relationship with God.  “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8

• Through repentance of sin we receive the gift of salvation by faith.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  I John 1:9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not a result of works, that no one should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9

I rejoice with you today if God has brought you to this place of repentance.  The “sperm and egg” have joined together producing spiritual birth!  It would bring great joy if you would share your new birthday with me.  I would love to celebrate your new life in Christ!

Charles Spurgeon reminds us:
“Many can bring the Scriptures to the mind, but the Lord alone can prepare the mind to receive the Scriptures.  Our Lord Jesus differs from all other teachers; they reach the ear, but he instructs the heart; they deal with the outward letter, but he imparts an inward taste for the truth, by which we perceive its savour and spirit.  The most unlearned of men become mature scholars in the school of grace when the Lord Jesus by His Holy Spirit unfolds the mysteries of the kingdom to them, and grants the divine anointing by which they are enabled to see the invisible . . .

For without his gracious opening of our understanding, we could no more have attained spiritual knowledge than an infant can climb the pyramids, or an ostrich fly up to the stars.  Jesus’ college is the only one in which God’s truth can be truly learned; other schools may teach us what is to be believed, but Christ’s alone can show us how to believe it. Let us sit at the feet of Jesus, and by earnest prayer call in his blessed aid so that our dull wits may grow brighter, and our feeble understandings may receive heavenly things.”
